Morgen Matheson first moved to the Shuswap from the busy Lower Mainland over four years ago, and has fell in love with the small communities and big possibilities this region has to offer. She comes from a strong background in marketing and project management for over 12 years. Upon moving to the Shuswap, Morgen has since been able to build positive relationships with many key tourism agencies in the area including local Chambers of Commerce, regional and local recreation groups, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA), and Destination BC.

Matheson will take charge of developing and implementing plans to promote and enhance tourism. She will also oversee and coordinate the activities of the Columbia Shuswap Film Commission in attracting and supporting film crews to shoot on location in the region.

Immediately on arrival, the Shuswap felt like home. She believes that with hard work and collaboration, we can be very successful in promoting this incredible area we all share.

On a personal level, Matheson loves to participate in many of the activities the Shuswap and local areas have to offer such as mountain biking, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing, as well as enjoying the local foodie scene.
