Thom has been in the tourism industry since 1977, so he is clearly dedicated to the industry! Thom has been involved in many aspects of tourism and hospitality, from early career days at destination ski resorts in the North Okanagan and West Kootenays to building community destination marketing organizations from the ground up.

Thom has extensive experience in DMO executive management, promotions, and marketing, building destination awareness on regional, provincial, national, and international markets.

Thom has served on several boards throughout his career, including Kootenay Rockies Tourism, Destination BC Tourism Marketing Committee, as well as several local special interest societies, all dedicated to community and regional tourism development.

Currently, Thom is the Executive Director of Travel Penticton, the CDMO for Penticton and area, representing the City of Penticton and surrounding region.
