Tourism Kelowna's Industry Forum is on Wednesday, May 11, in person at the Coast Capri Hotel.
Join the event for a full day of connection and learning. In the morning, hear updates from Tourism Kelowna's team followed by a panel discussion on workplace culture and staff retention. The afternoon will kick off with a panel presentation about social media and photography. From there, Tourism Kelowna's Annual General Meeting will take place followed by a networking reception, where industry and community members can reconnect in person.
Tourism Kelowna hosted a Tourism Industry Town Hall Webinar featuring renowned Okanagan tourism industry leaders in Lisanne Ballantyne, Tourism Kelowna President & CEO, Glenn Mandziuk, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association President & CEO, and Krista Mallory, Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission Manager.
The Webinar presents an opportunity for tourism-related businesses to hear insights from each organization on their efforts surrounding business recovery and to understand more about available resources and enrolling in COVID-19 relief programs.
The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA), along with its core partners Indigenous Tourism of British Columbia (ITBC), Tourism Kelowna, Westbank First Nation, Shuswap Nation Tribal Council, Shackan Indian Band, Lower Nicola Indian Band, were chosen as the successful bidder to host the 8th annual International Indigenous Tourism Conference (IITC) in Kelowna, British Columbia in 2019.
