Monica Seys is originally from Santiago de Chile where she studied at IEDE Business School and earned an Executive Masters in Business Administration. She also has a degree in Social Communication and a degree in Advertising from the Universidad Diego Portales.

After finishing her Masters degree Monica worked managing the marketing department of Maxhuber a chain of document copying and business services stores in Santiago de Chile.

Monica moved to British Columbia in 2008 and since then she has been actively involved in the family business, Shuswap Marina, a full-service marina located in Blind Bay, on Shuswap Lake.

Monica also spends her time volunteering in the community as part of the local Chamber of Commerce, Sorrento Elementary Parent Advisory Committee, North and South Shuswap Community Resources NSSCR and was selected to be part of the Board of Directors for the Shuswap Economic Development Society.
